During an interview on the podcast SmartLess, hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Selena Gomez shared her desire to focus more on acting and possibly retire from music, as per E! News.

Gomez shared her thoughts on her career trajectory, mentioning that she still has one more album left. This unexpected revelation shocked her millions of fans, sparking a flurry of discussions on social media about the possibility of her retirement.

Gomez focused on her long-standing ambition to become a "serious actress," a dream she had nurtured since childhood. As she grows older, she has expressed a strong inclination towards seeking stability in her professional life. In her 2022 docuseries, "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me," Gomez openly addressed the impact that juggling her acting and music careers had on her mental health.

"I'm going to want to chill because I'm tired," Gomez asserted during the podcast, highlighting the exhaustion of managing multiple roles.

The artist ventured into music in the late 2000s when Disney encouraged her to create an album during her stint on the Disney Channel sitcom "Wizards of Waverly Place." Initially considering music a hobby, Gomez eventually immersed herself in a successful singing career, according to Daily News.

Gomez acknowledged this but mentioned that they would like to relax due to exhaustion.
