"The Conjuring" star Patrick Wilson may have landed a role in Marvel Studios' upcoming "Ant-Man" film.

"Plot details are still vague, but fans have suspected Wright is taking a different approach. It is also unknown what role Wilson would take," Variety reports.

According to TheWrap, he actor is in talks for an unspecified role, but is set to join Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas in the film.  Marvel confirmed Rudd's casting late 2013 and Douglas signed on for the role in January.

"When Edgar Wright came to us with the idea of Paul Rudd, we felt a huge sense of relief because the first step in creating any Marvel Studios film is finding the right star," Marvel president Kevin Feige said in a statement. "We knew early on that we had found the right person in Paul. When he not only agreed to do it but became as enthusiastic as any actor we'd ever met with about doing the work, we knew we'd found the right guy. We couldn't be more excited for our audiences to see what he's going to do to bring Ant-Man to life."

Feige carried a similar sentiment when announcing Douglas had been cast in the film.  Douglas is set to play scientist Hank Pym.

"When Edgar Wright came to us with the idea of Paul Rudd, we felt a huge sense of relief because the first step in creating any Marvel Studios film is finding the right star," Feige said in a statement.

"Ant-Man" is slated to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
