Google rolled out an update for iOS Hangouts app, adding an iOS7 redesign, iPad optimization, animated stickers, 10 second video messages and more.

Google, the largest internet search company, is bringing a refreshed Hangouts app for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches with significant changes and a brand new look. The updated Hangouts version 2.0 for iOS7 devices sports an aesthetic flat design to match the theme of Apple's latest mobile OS. The app is also optimized for big screen iPads, with two-pane conversation view option and big, clear video calls.

Google's update to Hangouts includes other features and also keeps the voice and video calls option intact. The overall performance of the app is improved and offers a user-friendly interface for navigation. Additionally the app is updated with animated stickers to make chats more fun and entertaining.

"The app has a brand new look and feel, is super easy to navigate, and includes a bunch of performance improvements," Google's Frank Petterson wrote in a Google+ post, Thursday. "You can still make free voice and video calls, of course. Or send a quick photo. But we're adding a few more features we think you'll love."

Hangouts app for Apple brings a new option for sending short video messages. Users can record a ten-second video and share it with friends and family in the conversation in simple ways. Google has also added location sharing, one of the most required features for mobile devices. This can help users find friends' location by simply asking them to share it over the app.

These features were made available on Android, earlier this month. The updated Hangouts app for iOS devices can be downloaded for free from Apple App Store.
