French forensic police officers work at the scene of a stabbing attack in the 'Jardins de l'Europe' park in Annecy, in the French Alps, on June 8, 2023. A Syrian refugee suspected of stabbing six people in the French Alpine town of Annecy on Thursday did not appear to have a "terrorist motive", the local prosecutor told reporters. Prosecutor Line Bonnet-Mathis said that of the four children injured in the assault, one was aged just 22 months, two were two-year-olds, and the eldest was three.

Nathan James Gilmore, the killer of Angela Bradbury, was sentenced to 50 years in prison on Monday after pleading guilty to murdering Bradbury.

He also displayed her skull at a local park, and Bradbury's remains were identified on April 5, 2022.

Gilmore Sentenced for Murdering Bradbury

At first, he was charged with first-degree murder in Bradbury's death. Later in August, he was sentenced to second-degree murder to avoid a mandatory life sentence.

According to an arrest complaint attained by HuffPost, a drawing of a blood-soaked "satanic goat's head in the shape of a pentagram" was attached to the wall of Gilmore's living room when investigators served a warrant at his place. Authorities reported that the numbers written in Gilmore's drawing are when Bradbury was last seen on April 6, 2021.

A GPS integrated with the park found Bradbury's skull and remains at the Cedar River Greenbelt Trail park on July 12, 2021, three months after Bradbury disappeared. Authorities later used dental records to identify that the skull belonged to Bradbury.

Bradbury's Father in Pain With Daughter's Brutal Death

Tim Bradbury, Bradbury's father, made a statement in court on Monday, as reported by ABC6 News.

"I will forever live with the fact that your face is the last face she saw," Bradbury said to Gilmore.

Bradbury said in pain that the last emotion his child felt was terror. But Gilmore went home like nothing happened after killing his daughter.

"You returned later to the site where you killed her and buried her and proceeded to remove her head," Bradbury added.

He was grieving about his daughter's brutal death when he found out about the skull identified in the park. He shared that he used to kiss his daughter's head good night, which was also the head her mom placed her hand on to feel for a fever.

"How could anyone do that? How could any decent person sleep with that on their conscience?" he said.

The authorities said Bradbury was last seen leaving a friend's house with a man matching Gilmore's description. When officers questioned Gilmore after his Facebook GPS records matched where Bradbury's remains were found, he said that they were strangers.

On Monday, District Judge Gregg Rosenbladt reported that Gilmore showed no remorse for killing Bradbury.

"I met someone, I stabbed her in the neck and went back to work," Gilmore told the judge in a previous hearing.

Gilmore said he felt nothing while killing Bradbury and even shared that he has done worse things. Bradbury said that Gilmore has the darkest soul he has ever encountered. Moreover, Bradbury promised that he would be forever resentful that Gilmore and Angela met.
