Britney Spears is set to release her upcoming memoir "The Woman in Me," with multiple reports indicating that she revealed she was pregnant with Justin Timberlake's child during their relationship from 1999 to 2002 before deciding to get an abortion.
The book is scheduled for release on October 24.
Britney: 'Justin Wasn't Happy' about Pregnancy
People was the first to report on the revelation on Tuesday (October 17), quoting excerpts of Spears's memoir detailing the former couple's decision to end the pregnancy.
She also had hopes she and Timberlake would be able to raise a family in the long run, but the pregnancy was "much earlier than...anticipated."
"Justin definitely wasn't happy about the pregnancy," the passage alleged. "He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."
The decision to have an abortion haunted Spears for years, TMZ further revealed.
Spears and Timberlake are yet to respond to reporters' requests for comment.

Life Beyond Young Love
The relationship between Spears and Timberlake began when they first met while appearing on the Mickey Mouse Club in the early 1990s. After a few years, they began their respective pop music careers while maintaining their highly-publicized relationship.
Since their split in 2002, the two moved forward with their lives. Since then, Spears married and divorced Jason Alexander, and had two sons with Kevin Federline before divorcing him in 2006. Her most recent marriage was that with Sam Asghari, which only lasted 14 months.
Timberlake eventually married Jessica Biel in 2012 and had two sons of their own while keeping their marriage strong.
