At first, netizens thought the airplane used was an unmanned aircraft. Unfortunately, Mexican officials announced that the airplane's pilot died.

Fox News reported that the gender reveal tragedy happened in San Pedro, Mexico. One of the guests was able to capture the incident using a smartphone.

After that, she decided to share the footage, which was reposted by other netizens. CNN World reported that authorities in Navolato, Sinaloa, confirmed that the pilot of the airplane died because of the crash.

Alan Francisco Rangel of the Sinalao Red Cross said that paramedics tried to treat the pilot at the crash site. After that, they took him to a local hospital.

Sadly, the airplane operator, whose identity was not revealed, died. Meanwhile, guests and the parents were safe since no further injuries were reported by the authorities.

As of press time, authorities are still investigating the incident to find the main reason for the airplane wing failure.

Netizens, Content Creators Criticize Parents

The latest gender reveal accident in Mexico saddened and disappointed many netizens, as well as online content creators.

In the footage, numerous viewers noticed that most of the guests didn't notice the airplane crashing behind them.

Even the parents who conducted the gender reveal were unaware of the deadly aircraft failure happening as they kissed each other after the pink powder was released. "Thought I was going crazy because they carried on like it didn't crash," said a TikTok user.

Another one was shocked to see that the guests kept on cheering despite the serious incident happening at their event.

Meanwhile, some TikTok influencers slammed the video of the airplane crash. They said that many parents are just going way too far with the gender reveal celebration.

They explained that these extreme gender reveal events are done not because parents want to celebrate, but because they want to go viral on the internet.
