Mike Batayeh, a 52-year-old actor known for playing the manager of a laundromat turned meth lab in the popular series "Breaking Bad," has died after suffering a heart attack on June 1.

The actor and comedian's family later said that Batayeh died inside his home located in Michigan while in his sleep. The development came despite the star not having a history of any heart issues, said the family, who considered his death as being very sudden and unexpected.

Mike Batayeh Dies Aged 52

In a statement, Batayeh's family said that he will be "greatly missed" by all of the people who love him as well as others who enjoyed his career. The 52-year-old star was known to have appeared in three episodes of the popular AMC drama series in 2011, as per BBC.

The actor portrayed a man named Dennis Markowski in the series who was the manager of the Lavanderia Brillante industrial laundromat. That establishment later became a notorious coverup for a massive meth lab operation of the main stars.

Batayeh was also known as a comedian and voice actor on top of his career on the big screen. Throughout his work, he made several appearances in various movies such as American Dreamz and Detroit Unleashed. He also showed up on several TV shows, such as the Bernie Mac Show and CSI: Miami.

His voice acting career also had him portray a character in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." An online obituary showed that Batayeh has five siblings as well as a large extended family. After the revelation of the actor's death, colleagues and co-stars immediately paid their tributes to him.

The Breaking Bad Actor's Sudden Passing

Batayeh's manager revealed that a memorial service has been planned for the actor and will be held in Plymouth, Michigan next week, according to CNN. The manager, Steve Owens, revealed that the actor's funeral service will be held at Risen Christ Lutheran Church on June 17,

In a statement, the actor's agent, Arlene Thornton, paid her tributes to the Breaking Bad star, saying that he was one of their favorite clients. She noted that Batayeh was a great actor and a very funny man who was beloved by fans worldwide.

The late actor's most recent appearance was in the 2018 television movie titled "Prank of America." In a Facebook post on Monday, director Rola Nashef honored her friend in a tribute, saying that he was "everybody's friend."

Nashed also talked about Batayeh's sense of humor and his talent for stage, screenwriting, television, and film. She noted that she was praying for his family and the entire community who feel for his sudden passing.

The Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Homes' website shared an obituary for the actor that urged people to donate to The Clark Park Coalition Fund in his honor. It stated that the late actor was always passionate about helping the youth in the community where he lived and grew up facing various challenges, said USA Today.
