Despite the pleas of his co-actors and producers to return, Johnny Depp has decided to walk away from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise for good.

American actor Johnny Depp revealed he has no more plans of returning as Captain Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise because he does not want to ever work with Disney again.

Disney Studios president Sean Bailey earlier said the studio was "noncommittal at this point" about Depp's return, which was speculation that Disney might reconsider having Depp in the "Pirates" franchise.

However, sources close to Depp said he made the decision to close the door on Disney for good on the eve of his 60th birthday after it dropped him while he was involved in a legal battle against his former partner, Amber Heard, on a domestic violence accusation, which eventually went to his favor.

In addition, Depp was reportedly still livid with how Disney unceremoniously dumped him during the early stages of the legal battle.

"Pirates of the Caribbean'' producer Jerry Bruckheimer said while he would love to have Depp back as Jack Sparrow, he understood why he would not want to anymore. "He's a friend, a terrific actor, and it's unfortunate that personal lives creep into everything we do," he said.

The sentiment was similar to some of his co-actors in the franchise, such as husband-and-wife stars Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz.

Aside from Disney, Tim Burton dropped Depp from the Beetlejuice franchise after Warner Bros. cut Burton out of the Fantastic Beasts franchise when he lost his libel action in London.

Johnny Depp, the Musician

Speaking in Cannes for his newest film, "Jeanne Du Barry," Depp expressed his anger about the way the domestic abuse allegations played out that he decided to focus on distancing himself from Hollywood as his best way forward.

"I started to experience these circuses - we can call them carnivals - so long ago. Your life becomes a circus," he said as a reflection on his life so far. "It's not that you get used to the circus, but you realize there's nothing you can do but inhale, exhale, and accept what happens in the next steps. It's still weird to me."

One of his current outlets was to pursue a career in music as part of the supergroup band Hollywood Vampires alongside Alice Cooper and Joe Perry.

Doting Father

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp expressed his full support to the acting career of his daughter, Lily-Rose, as she stars as Jocelyn in the Sam Levinson series "The Idol."

According to a source close to Johnny, he loved that his daughter was "forging her own path, embracing roles that intrigue and challenge her."

"It's clear she's not resting on her father's laurels-she's a star in her own right," the source added.
