Alexandria Cress Borys, age 26, was in a supermarket in Irmo, South Carolina, with her children when she began to argue with suspect Christina Harrison.

According to her grieving husband, the woman was loading groceries into her car at about 4 p.m. when the argument broke out. Alexandria was ultimately shot in the back. She was declared dead shortly after that.

According to her husband, WIS-TV, "from what I can tell, they had either ended their disagreement or Alex was leaving. That seems she was shot while facing away."

The two-year-old toddler and newborn of Tyler and Alexandria were in the car at the time of the tragic incident, as per Mirror. Christina Harrison, 23, reportedly left the scene in a white pickup vehicle, but she surrendered. As detectives were still on the scene, she contacted 911 to report her presence at the police station. Harrison was later charged with murder and other counts involving firearms.

In remembrance of his killed wife, Tyler characterized her as a "beautiful woman, wonderful mother, compassionate wife, trusting friend, and so much more. Alexandria was truly taken too soon." Tyler said that Alexandria, a cosmetologist and nursing student, was "the finest wife you could wish for."

A fundraiser has been organized to generate funds for the victim's burial. Tyler stated that Alexandria died barely six days after her brother died of a gunshot wound. According to her Facebook profile, Alexandria has worked as a babysitter since 2021. The devastated spouse stated that the tragedy occurred just one week after Borys's brother died.

Victim Shot Due to Parking Dispute

Tyler stated that Harrison shot his wife when she had her back turned following the conclusion of the altercation. Bobby Dale, the police chief of Irmo, said that Borys and Harrison were strangers previous to the incident, Daily Mail reported.

The bereaved family has subsequently started a GoFundMe campaign for a memorial in Bory's honor, which garnered over $13,000. Harrison has been charged with murder, unauthorized carry of a handgun, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent felony.

The Lexington County Bond Court stated in a statement that Harrison did not appear at a hearing on Wednesday and has retained private counsel. The shooting shook the little village of Irmo, with many stating that Kroger was the town's retail store.

After an hour and a half of firing the trigger, Harrison allegedly surrendered to police and was charged with murder, unauthorized carrying of a weapon, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime. The Lexington County Detention Center is holding her.

According to WIS-TV, the violent and sudden death compounded the sadness for Borys' family, who were already grieving the loss of her brother, who had died from a gunshot wound just six days before.
