Prince Harry has allegedly claimed in his new book that his brother Prince William physically attacked him during a dispute about the marriage of the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle.

During a tense disagreement over his wife Meghan Markle, Prince Harry claims his brother Prince William grabbed him by the collar and threw him to the ground.

In an intriguing extract from his forthcoming autobiography Spare, Prince Harry remembers a sibling attack that, according to him, left him with obvious injuries, including cuts and bruises.

Prince William Attacked Prince Harry

William, now the Prince of Wales, is reported to have labeled Meghan as "difficult," "rude," and "abrasive" during the 2019 altercation, which supposedly occurred at his London residence.

According to the book, Prince Harry accused his brother of "repeating the news narrative" about his wife before a yelling dispute and physical brawl erupted. The Guardian has published this excerpt.

Per Daily Mail, given that Penguin Random House has taken extensive precautions to avoid leaks, it is unknown how the newspaper received an advance copy of the book. The publishing of Prince Harry's "explosive" biography is being meticulously guarded and handled in minute detail, with just a few top executives aware of the specifics, according to sources.

According to Prince Harry, the brothers had gathered to discuss "the entire rolling calamity" of their relationship and publicity issues. Prince Harry reports that the heir to the king arrived at Nottingham Cottage "scalding hot."

At the time of the alleged event in 2019, the Duke resided at the residence known as Nott Cott, which was located inside the grounds of Kensington Palace. Prince Harry alleges that William's behavior was irrational when they began arguing about Meghan, leading to a yelling brawl.

According to Prince Harry, he first did not inform Meghan Markle of the incident but instead called his therapist. He adds that he did not alert Meghan Markle of the confrontation until she discovered "scrapes and bruises" on his back, adding that she "wasn't that astonished and wasn't all that upset," but was "terribly sad."

The dramatic excerpt published only days prior to the book's formal release is expected to result in a sales increase. Prince Harry's memoir Spare is currently No. 2 on Amazon's best-seller list for pre-sales in North America and the United Kingdom.

The Duke of Sussex's book, which will be released early the next week, has long been anticipated to intensify his assaults against the Royal Family. The hardcover edition of Spare will be available in UK bookstores when they open on Tuesday morning, while the Kindle edition will be available for download shortly after midnight on the same day.

In the United States, which is five to eight hours behind Britain, e-book versions of the book will become available on Kindle on the evening of Monday, January 9; this coincides with the time the clock strikes midnight on Tuesday morning in the UK.

The duke and his publishers have taken extraordinary precautions to ensure that the book will be published simultaneously throughout the world on Tuesday. As part of a rumored $20 million book agreement with Penguin Random House, Prince Harry has been quietly working on a book about his life within the Royal Family for over a year.

He has worked with the Pulitzer Prize-winning ghostwriter J. R. Moehringer, an unusual step for a senior royal family member. According to reports, Moehringer will be compensated $1 million for her participation.

Spare will be released in sixteen languages, including Chinese, Finnish, Hungarian, Spanish, and Portuguese, but no one was meant to have access to an advance copy.

While King Charles may be spared the brunt of the duke's anger, it has long been believed that the 416-page book contains embarrassing facts about his terrible feud with his brother, with both Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton being criticized.

Royal Family Attempted to Reconcile With Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

According to the Daily Mirror, the assertion is made despite seven attempts by the Royal Family to extend an olive branch to the Duke. The first invitation was for Prince Harry to present a tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana of Wales.

The revelation occurred only a few months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's shocking appearance with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. As an effort to heal tensions, the then-Prince Charles also wrote a letter praising Prince Harry's environmental work.

King Charles stated in a 2022 New Year's article, "Harry has fiercely emphasized the effects of climate change, particularly in connection to Africa."

Prince Harry was invited to Prince Philip's grave in a third attempt to alleviate escalating transatlantic relations in the wake of the Sussexes' frequent interviews. However, he did attend the Duke's funeral in April 2021, which occurred in March of last year.

The rejection occurred during a court dispute with the Home Office about Prince Harry's security arrangements in the United Kingdom. In the weeks following Prince Philip's burial ceremony, though, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did visit his grandmother.

Before departing for the Invictus games in the Netherlands, the Duke and Duchess had tea with the Queen at Windsor Castle. King Charles and Camilla were also there. Later that summer, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan attended the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Their invitation to attend Trooping the Colour and a gratitude service at St. Paul's Cathedral was a further olive branch given to the duo. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the Prince and Princess of Wales for a walkabout at Windsor Castle in the days following the Queen's funeral.

In an effort to present a unified front, the Fab Four received well-wishers and read tens of thousands of flower tributes. And as a last-ditch effort to save relations, King Charles invited Sussexes and their children on two vacations in an effort to heal strained ties.
