Nick Cannon Responds to Comments About Having More Kids After Welcoming 12th Child, Rules Out Vasectomy

New Year's Eve countdown icon Andy Cohen questioned Nick Cannon live on television about his 12 children and if he would seek a vasectomy. Here’s the actor’s candid response!

Nick Cannon is not considering a family planning. During CNN's 'New Year's Eve Live' broadcast in Time Square, Andy Cohen joked that the father of 12 seemed to be "single-handedly repopulating the Earth" by having additional children.

On December 14, Cannon welcomed his youngest child with model Alyssa Scott. What is your plan? Cohen asked Cannon, according to People.

Nick Cannon Rules Out Vasectomy

"Clearly, I have no plan," Cannon responded.

Cohen, who was anchoring the live broadcast with CNN's Anderson Cooper, then inquired as to whether Cooper was open to a vasectomy.

As for Cannon's counsel to new fathers, he remarked, "Simply act out of love. Some could say that's what brought us here in the first place, but that's what I would always do with a grin."

Eventually, the topic of discussion shifted to New Year's resolutions. When questioned about his 2023 ambitions, the ex-husband of Mariah Carey reiterated his prior assertion that he did not have any.

Last month, Cannon and Scott welcomed their twelfth child, daughter Halo Marie Cannon. Halo was born a year after the death of the couple's 5-month-old son Zen, who passed away from brain cancer.

Nick Cannon welcomed multiple children in 2022: son Legendary Love in July with Bre Tiesi, followed by Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, a daughter with former Price is Right model LaNisha Cole, in September.

Nine days later, daughter Rise Messiah Cannon with model Brittany Bell; Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa announced the birth of their daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin Cannon, in November, before he welcomed daughter Halo Marie Cannon with Alyssa Scott last month.

Nick Cannon's first children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, were born in April 2011 with Mariah Carey, and it wasn't until February 2017 that he received his third kid, Golden 'Sagon' Cannon.

In December 2020, he also had a daughter, Powerful Queen. Nick Cannon was blessed with another set of twins, Zion and Zillion, in June 2021, as per Metro.

Cannon Avoids Answering How Many Children He Plans to Have

The birth of Halo Marie occurred about a year after the loss of Zen, who died of a brain tumor at barely five months of age in 2021. Nick Cannon has been candid about his expanding family and has accepted the constant jokes about the number of his children with good humor.

Per Daily Mail, Cannon expressed thanks for his relationships and family while avoiding a definitive response regarding the number of children he will have.

Cannon has a total of 12 children with six women. On Christmas Day, he looked to have his hands full ensuring the happiness of all of his children. Cannon and Alyssa Scott recently had a daughter on December 14.

The birth occurs only one month after Cannon's other ex-girlfriend Abby De La Rosa posted an Instagram video of their newborn child. Abby gave birth to a baby girl who was given the name Zeppelin. They also share twins, Zion and Zillion, who are one year old.

Rise Messiah Cannon was born in September to Cannon and Brittany Bell, with whom he also has Golden, age five, and Powerful Queen, age two. Less than two weeks prior to the birth of Rise, Cannon and former The Price Is Right model Lanisha Cole welcomed Onyx into the world.

In July, Nick's girlfriend Bre Tiesi gave birth to her first kid, a son named Legendary, who was Nick's ninth child at the time.
