Celebrities are paying tribute to Grammy-winning singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, who passed away on Monday at the age of 73.

Olivia Newton-John, the Grammy Award-winning singer and actress best remembered as Sandy in 'Grease,' has died at the age of 73 after a battle with breast cancer.

John Easterling, Newton-husband, John's announced his wife's death on her verified Facebook page on Monday, writing that Newton-John "went away quietly at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends."

Celebrities are paying homage to Grammy-winning singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, best remembered for her role as Sandy in 'Grease,' who died on Monday at the age of 73 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.

On social media, John Travolta paid tribute to his 'Grease' co-star, praising her legacy. "You made all of our lives so much better, my lovely Olivia," Travolta said on Instagram. "Your influence was enormous, and I love you so much; we shall see you down the road, and we will all be together again; yours from the first minute I saw you, and forever!"

Robin Roberts expressed her deep respect for Newton-fortitude John's in the face of breast cancer on Twitter, wishing "condolences to her beloved family and friends."

Viola Davis, an Oscar winner, commended Newton-John for the unforgettable memories she provided.

Dionne Warwick, a fellow musician, described Newton-John as one of the most unforgettable musicians she has ever worked with.

Antonio Banderas shared photographs of Newton-John on Twitter and expressed his deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones.

Gabrielle Union, star of 'Bring It On,' stated her affection for Newton-John began with her favorite picture, 'Grease.'

Taylor Hickson, star of 'Motherland: Fort Salem,' said she was totally shaken by the news, according to USA Today.

Olivia Newton-John Previously Confessed About Her Cancer

Newton-John rose to prominence alongside Travolta in the 1978 high school musical Grease, playing Sandy alongside Travolta's Danny. The catapult of music

The Australian performer has been vocal about her breast cancer diagnosis, which she got in 1992, in recent years. She received many therapies throughout her diagnosis, including a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and breast reconstruction.

Many of the singer's admirers have flocked to social media to express their condolences to her family after her death was reported. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund in her memory, Ladbible reported.

Olivia Newton-John admitted to being in denial about her cancer battle in recent years, and she refused to call her to struggle to live a fight. In one of her most moving red carpet presentations, the Australian actress said that she refuses to think about cancer daily.

Newton-John had always maintained an optimistic attitude regarding her health, even throughout the most concerning days of the epidemic. She spoke openly about her attitude on life at the G'Day USA event in Beverly Hills just two years before her death, alongside former co-star John Travolta.

Newton-John was afflicted with cancer in 1992, but she proclaimed her recovery in 2013, the year after her Wellness Center opened. However, in May 2017, she was informed that her cancer had metastasized and spread to her bones.

Newton-John also expressed her happiness at being recognized for Grease four decades after it was released. She recalled Travolta's concern throughout the filming of the musical romance.

During the same event, Travolta, her close friend, and Grease co-star lauded her cheerful view on life, despite her health concerns. Newton-John also stated at the time that tumors were receding or going away, which on Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer - that's quite incredible, as per Daily Mail.
