Nokia announced the newest addition to its smartphone lineup, the Lumia Icon with a 5-inch full HD display, 20 megapixel camera and advanced microphones, starting February 20.

Nokia is enticing customers with its latest Lumia addition, the Icon, which boasts of impressive features like advanced microphone technology and impressive camera. The Finnish company is bragging about the phone's capability to record videos with high quality sound.

The Lumia Icon features four microphones, instead of just two found on most smartphones. The front panel is fitted with two microphones, useful for making calls, and two at the rear to better record sound while taking a video. The device is pre loaded with popular Nokia-exclusive apps like Nokia Camera, Refocus, Storyteller and Video Director and the company's latest software update, Lumia Black.

The Lumia Icon can take video in 1080p resolution and capture clear still images from its 20-megapixel camera with Nokia PureView technology, according to the company's blog, Wednesday. The phone maker has set its camera standards high, when compared to rival companies. The camera in its flagship Lumia 1020 is comparable to DSLRs. This is the company's winning card, despite it being the sole provider of Windows Phone handsets, which is not as popular as Android and iOS.

Other features that surround the Lumia Icon include a 5-inch 1080p display with a Gorilla Glass 3 and a 180-degree viewing angle 441ppi pixel density with curved glass, aluminum ring and a powerful 2420mAh battery that offers 16 hours of talk time. The Icon is powered by 2.2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It also supports a wireless charger, although charging pads are sold separately.

The Icon will arrive in the U.S. starting Feb. 20, exclusively on Verizon Wireless for $199 with a two-year agreement. Pre-orders for the device can be made from any brick-and-mortar Microsoft Stores and Nokia is offering a free wireless charger for those who buy Lumia Icon before March 16. The device comes in two color variants, black and white.
