Shayne Lamas, winner of "The Bachelor" season 12, was rushed to the hospital Sunday night (Feb. 9) after collapsing in her Orange County, Calif. home. The 28-year-old reality star, who was pregnant with her second child, lost her unborn baby during an emergency surgery.

According to TMZ, when Lamas arrived at the hospital doctors discovered that she was internally bleeding around her uterus. Reportedly doctors were stumped and called in specialists to determine the cause of bleeding. It was reported by the site that Lamas was in a coma and not breathing on her own following the emergency surgery but doctors were hopeful she would make a full recovery.

However, according to People magazine, Lamas' father Lorenzo Lamas said she was never in a coma but did confirm the miscarriage.

"We are so grateful that my daughter, Shayne Lamas-Richie, is conscious and stable. She is not in a coma, however she did miscarry the child she was carrying," he told the site. "We are so grateful to the hospital personnel and the doctors who saved her life last night."

Lamas and her husband Nik Richie, the founder of TheDirty.com, married four years ago hours after meeting each other at a drunken Las Vegas pool party. The couple is already parents to a 2-year-old daughter named Press.

Richie took to his blog Monday afternoon to let his readers know that he would be taking a break from the site to focus on his wife.

"I'm going to take some personal days off from the blogging world. Unfortunate things happen to good people. I'm not the best person in the world, but I love my wife and my family, Shayne is a good person. She is my support and my smile. I found you and I never want to let you go. We will overcome. Us 3," he wrote.
