Paul Bettany will take on the role of The Vision in Marvel's upcoming "The Avengers: The Age of Ultron", according to multiple reports.

Marvel has yet to confirm the casting news, but sources close to the "Age of Ultron" production told TheWrap Bettany is part of the film.

"Vision is also an integral part of Marvel's 'Age of Ultron' comic series (upon which the summer 2015 movie is, at best, very loosely constructed). In that series, Ultron wreaks unspeakable devastation upon the Earth, kills several superheroes and is on the brink of achieving ultimate destruction; the Vision is Ultron's mouthpiece, and brokers a key swap with the surviving Avengers," TheWrap reports.

According to the Daily Mail, the "Age of Ultron" production team has already had Bettany do a series of costumes, hair and makeup test for the film.

"The casting of Bettany has been shrouded in secrecy, but he was spotted at Shepperton on Monday. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is code-named After Party . . . or at least it was," the Daily Mail reports.

With Bettany as the rumored Vision, all that's left to announce is who will play Miss Marvel in the "Age of Ultron" film.  According to The Latino Review, there is one actress whose name has popped up in their casting investigations, but it looks like she may not be offered the role.

"Miss Marvel is the last piece of major casting left in the movie," the Latino Review reports.  "Yeah, Miss Marvel. Now, I'm not going to spoil HOW she is in it, but she is in there kids. The question now is who is going to play her? Katee Sackhoff was originally rumored so it will be interesting to see who Marvel gets for that part."

"The Avengers: The Age of Ultron" is slated to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
