The "Star Wars Episode 7" production team has reportedly approached "The Dark Knight" trilogy star Gary Oldman for a role in the film.

In an interview Sky Movies, the "Robocop" actor revealed he received a phone call about the film. Oldman did not divulge any details about his talk, as per usual with any actor associated with the film. However, he did confirm there is no deal in the works with the "Star Wars" camp.

"They've called...[I'll] believe it when I'm on the plane home," he said.

Oldman isn't the only actor who has confirmed their link to director J.J. Abram's highly anticipated film. "That Awkward Moment" actor Zac Efron also confirmed he has spoken with the "Star Wars Episode 7" production team.

"Yeah, I just went and met with them," Efron told MTV News. "So I don't know. It would be cool. I love them, I love them, but... who knows?"

Abrams and the "Star Wars" camp have taken extreme precautions to run a leak proof production, which seems to be impossible nowadays. The director recently explained to the Daily Telegraph how far his staff is willing to go in order to insure no plot or casting details are leaked.

"My office... I'm working on the Star Wars script today and the people in my office have covered up all my windows with black paper...I guess they wanted to make sure no one could see what I was doing. It seems rather extreme," he told the Telegraph.

Abrams added he isn't a fan of movie info leaks and believes it takes away from the "purity" of the film-watching experience. The "Star Wars Episode 7" production team wants to "preserve the unexpected" for the franchise fans.

"Star Wars is in every way a different animal. It's always been a more open, fan-engaged universe than I've been used to, so I'm sure there'll be some sort of compromise," Abrams told Telegraph. "But it feels to me like there's a purity in not knowing every little thing."

"Star Wars Episode 7" is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
