Xiaomi Redmi 5 will reportedly have a 5-inch screen with IPS LCD. The smartphone will be available in the market in three variants. Reports also suggest that the price of the smartphone is expected to be quite reasonable as well.

The images and specs of Xiaomi Redmi 5 have been leaked on China's Weibo. According to reports from Gsmarena, enough information has been gathered about the smartphone that includes its specs and price. The smartphone will notably have two chipsets with RAM option. The first variant of the smartphone will have Snapdragon 625 process with 3GB RAM and 2GHz CPU and the second variant will be powered by Snapdragon 630 with 4GB RAM and 2.2GHz CPU.

The 3GB model will be further available in two variant; one with an internal storage of 16GB while the other will 32GB of storage. The 4GB model of Xiaomi Redmi 5 will have 64GB internal storage. All the three variants of the smartphone will support dual-SIM and will come with microSD expansion.

Reports also suggest that the smartphone will flaunt a 5-inch, IPS LCD screen. It will have a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP camera on the front side. The phone will have dual-tone LED flash and will come with phase detection autofocus. It is also rumored that Xiaomi Redmi 5 will also have a fingerprint scanner. It will be powered by 3,680 mAh battery which is less than battery capacity of its predecessor, Redmi 4 that has 4,100 mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 will run on the latest Nougat 7.1.1 and MIUI 9.0. The price which has been listed on the Chinese website seems quite reasonable as the starting price of the phone is $126 for the 3GB RAM/16GB storage smartphone. The 4GB variant of the phone will cost $162.

It must be mentioned that no official announcement has so far been made regarding the features or the price of Xiaomi Redmi 5. It is expected that the smartphone will be launched in October 2017.
