"Star Wars Episode 7" is set to begin filming early this spring, but there have been many rumors floating around and we're not even a month into the New Year.

Unfortunately, the "Star Wars" production team has confirmed less than a handful of the reports circulating about the film.  However, this doesn't mean you shouldn't be paying attention to the buzz.

1.  J.J. Abrams Meets With Jesse Plemons (CONFIRMED)

What began as a rumor turned out to be true!  A few days before the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour, news surfaced of a secret meeting with "Breaking Bad" actor Jesse Plemons and director J.J. Abrams.  During the press conference he was asked  about the Plemons meeting to which Abrams responded:

"He was one of the people we spoke with.  It's not often that I'm reading about actors I'm meeting. I read articles about meeting with actors and then when I see them it's like, 'Oh, I read I'm going to be meeting with you!' It's usually agents talking with people about things." (READ MORE HERE)

2.  The "Real" Reason Why Abrams Took Over Michael Ardnt's Script (RUMOR)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, inside sources revealed Ardnt and Abrams' clashing visions for the film was the real reason for the writer's departure.  Ardnt reportedly wanted to focus on the next generation of "Star Wars" characters while Abrams wanted the attention on the original cast members. 3.  "Star Wars Episode 7" Script Is Completed (CONFIRMED)

"We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep. Full steam ahead," Abrams told the TCA press conference. (READ MORE HERE)

4.  Dame 'Judi' Dench To Play Mon Mothma (RUMOR)

"The 'scoop' comes from the most recent episode of Big Shiny Robot's Full of Sith podcast. There's absolutely nothing solid to back the rumor up, and in fact, their source, Bobby Roberts, only goes as far to say Dench's name is being discussed," Screen Rant reports. (READ MORE HERE)

5.  "Star Wars Episode 7" Will Be Shot On Film (CONFIRMED)

"The problem with IMAX is it's a very loud camera," Abrams said during the TCA press conference. "It's a very unreliable camera. There's only so much film that can be in the camera. You can't really do intimate scenes with it. It's slow. They break down often. Having said that, they're working on digital versions of these, and so there may be a version one day that we would shoot on. But we're going to be shooting this next movie [Star Wars] on film."
