The Webbys are back. The award ceremony honors the best of web contents across numerous categories.

According to Variety, this year over 13,000 entries was submitted. The 21st Annual Webby Awards Show will be held on May 15, 2017. 

The nominees have been announced that fans can vote for their favorites until April 20 by going to the official website. Webby Winners will be announced on April 25.

"Webby Nominees are using the internet in incredible ways to bring people together through humor, emotion, innovation, empathy, passion, optimism, and eccentricity - all of the elements that make for truly great internet," Variety quoted David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Webby Awards. "In a year marked by so much discord and divisiveness, the Webby Awards is honored to recognize the work and efforts of our Nominees as they explore new ways to use the Internet to inform our world and bring people together."

According to E! News, Best Use of Mobile Media nominations are Can't Stop, ReMumber, Like my addiction, and Homeless 360, and Hashtags for life. Webby nominees for Best Overall Social Presence (Social) are National Geographic's Social Presence, NASA's Cassini Mission Social Media, Game of Thrones, Old Spice Social and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon / Social Experience. 

Best Web Personality/Host (Film & Video) nominees are Joe Hanson - It's Okay to be Smart, Good Mythical Morning, Kid President, Not Too Deep with Grace Helbig and Teaching Shane Dawson How to Make a Musical.ly. Web Personalities including The Larry King Now, Good Mythical Morning, ThreadBanger, Philip De Franco and Adam Savage were nominated for their strong internet presence.

Google bagged the highest number of Webby nominations this year with 16. It was followed closely by Vice Media with 15, Conde Nast with 14, BBC and NatGeo with 12 each and HBO with 10 nominations.
