The New Orleans Saints are making one surprising move this offseason. After a lackluster performance last season, the Saints are looking to bringing back one controversial signal-caller. Latest news is saying that the Saints are reportedly interested in getting quarterback Johnny Manziel next season.

The New Orleans Saints are one of the underperforming team last season. They weren't able to make it to the playoffs and settled in the eleventh spot in the NFC division with a 7-9 win-loss record, the same record they had the past two seasons. With that, the team reportedly want to improve their lineup this offseason by looking for a veteran playmaker in the market.

On the other hand, Johnny Manziel is one controversial personality last year. Playing for the Cleveland Browns, he was suspended by the NFL for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Aside from that, he was also involved in off-field controversies that the Browns decide to release him before the 2016 NFL season starts. And now, it seems that the New Orleans Saints are considering of bringing him back after going back to school and studied.

According to NFL.com, Johnny Manziel and New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton was seen having a breakfast during last month's Super Bowl. And as per sources, Manziel and Payton allegedly was talking about the possibility of Manziel's return to the NFL next season.

The report further added that Payton is interested in adding the errant signal caller to the New Orleans Saint quarterback depth chart. Johnny Manziel earlier stated that he is changed man now and wants to redeem himself from his wrong doings the past seasons.

In two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Johnny Manziel has thrown 1,675 yards for seven touchdowns and seven interceptions in fifteen games he has played. Moreover, the New Orleans Saints are said to be already searching for an ideal replacement for Drew Brees in the future.

Drew Brees, who turned 38 last January, has been spectacular of guiding the New Orleans Saints for eleven seasons. Many believed that Brees is in the twilight of his career and would retire soon. Getting Johnny Manziel might be a plausible move for the Saints right now and see what the 24-year old QB could offer to the team.
