Many noticed and were quite surprised when actor Ryan Gosling couldn't stop giggling during the iconic Oscars Best Picture mix-up. The actor has come forward with a reason while speaking at the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas.

As per Us Weekly, major blunder happened at this year's Oscars when the Best Picture category winner was announced as "La La Land" when it was actually won by "Moonlight". Ryan Gosling was caught chuckling on stage at this precise moment.

Since quite some time was passed by when the mistake was corrected, musical hit "La La Land" cast and crew were already on stage for award acceptance. After the clarification, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and the rest of his cast and crew awkwardly walked off stage to make space for the "Moonlight" cast and crew.

Ryan Gosling revealed that he saw people around him are having a panicked reaction. Then there were guys with headsets, and the actor thought someone had been hurt.

"I thought there was some kind of medical situation," Us Weekly quoted Ryan Gosling. "I had this worst-case scenario playing out in my head."

However, when Ryan Gosling heard that "Moonlight" won, he was so relieved that he just couldn't stop laughing. The actor later praised the American, coming-of-age, drama film for winning. He felt that it was an achievement and the movie definitely deserved the award.

According to BBC, announcers received the wrong envelope during the show. The announcement was made based on that and "La La Land" cast and crew, including Ryan Gosling, went up to receive the award.

Ryan Gosling and others soon understood the mistake, though, but not before three acceptance speech were made. PwC, the company that takes care of the announcement cards has later apologized for the mishap.
