Brad Pitt have been recently rampant in the headlines lately. With Angelina Jolie’s divorce issues, the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actor had been subjected to rumors to reprise his role on “World War Z 2.” On the other hand, the actor is also seen to play Cable’s role in “Deadpool 2.”

According to Movie Web, a “World War Z 2” is on the cards. Producer and Skydance Media CEO David Ellison then said in a statement regarding the update of the film. "There's a script that we're incredibly happy with, and it's just getting a couple of key deals closed... We hope [Fincher] makes the movie," he said.

While Brad Pitt is confirmed to reprise his role in “World War Z 2,” it was hoped that he could work with Fincher since they have worked healthily in the past. Paramount isn’t still confirming whether Fincher will direct. More or less, the A-list star is hoped to work with the A-list director since Pitt is said to court Fincher to direct as well.

Regarding “Deadpool 2,” Jeff Sneider, editor-in-chief of The Tracking Board revealed in a tweet that Pitt is a candidate for time-traveling mutant Cable’s role. “Will be interesting to see if Brad Pitt plays Cable,” he tweeted. “In meantime, sounds like Sony is working on a Spider-Man sequel" per Comic Book.

Yet, the tweet wasn’t seen as credible for some since Sneider had linked an unrelated topic along with his tweet. “Atlanta” star Zazie Beetz was then mentioned to nab Domino’s role who is also known to be Cable’s love interest. Nonetheless, the “Fight Club” actor is among the rumored actors to play Cable alongside Michael Shannon, David Harbour, Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan.

“Deadpool 2” would be directed by David Leitch after the first franchise was handled by Tim Miller. Meanwhile, “World War Z 2” director isn’t still known amid hopes for David Fincher to direct it. “Deadpool 2” is expected sometime in 2018 while the zombie sequel is expected to be released this year.
