“Criminal Minds” Derek Morgan was since missed by fans all over since he left in order to focus on his family and life. Cast by prominent actor Shemar Moore, Morgan had left the series after playing the role in 11 Seasons that went through 2005 until his departure last March 2016.

According to Deadline, Shemar Moore left the “Criminal Minds” voluntarily. Executive producer/showrunner Erica Messer then revealed that the reason behind the “Criminal Minds” actor’s leave was to try out new things.

On the very bright side, “Criminal Minds” finale is reported to bring back Shemar Moore in its Season 12 finale on May 10. Meanwhile, aside from the CBS crime drama series, Moore was reported to produce and star in another CBS project, S.W.A.T. per Variety. Moore’s role was said to be Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, an S.W.A.T. lieutenant tasked to run a unit to stop all crimes in Los Angeles.

Furthermore, Moore’s role in the upcoming Season 12 finale of “Criminal Minds” is said to be that his character Morgan will bring the BAU a lead against the serial killer and escaped convict Mr. Scratch. In which Mr. Scratch was deemed to be that person who had wreaked havoc on the team all season. Though it is just mentioned to be one episode, Moore’s fans would be indeed pleased.

Moore then expressed enthusiasm as he turned to Instagram and posted that his secret is out and "I’m excited to say your Baby Boy will be back to play with my Criminal Minds family for the season 12 Finale!!” Safe to say, “Criminal Minds” fans in favor of Derek Morgan could indeed rejoice and wait as he appears in the Season 12’s episode finale as USA Today reported.

Catch the cast Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, and Damon Gupton as “Criminal Minds” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS. See Shemar Moore reprise his role as its Season 12 finale would air on May 10, 2017.
