As “Criminal Minds” fans have seen the drastic unexpected fate of Dr. Spencer Reid, much more is to come in his prison life. Reports had said that the Behavioral Analysis Unit genius will have more encounters during his stay with his new found friend.

According to Spoiler TV, the previous “Criminal Minds” episodes featured that amid Spencer Reid’s unfortunate events in jail, he had found a new ally. His new prison buddy is then mentioned to be Calvin Shaw played by Harold Perrineau. With Calvin teaching ways on how to survive in jail, will he really survive?

“Criminal Minds” Episode 16 synopsis goes like: A mother steps forward with valuable information for the BAU to aid in their investigation of an unsub known as the bone crusher. Also, Reid must adapt to a new set of rules in prison life.” In which the mother would help BAU is identified to be the guest star, Tatum O’Neal as Miranda White.

With that said, “Criminal Minds” Episode 16 would feature Reid adapting to the rules of prison. Thanks to his new found friend Calvin, Reid is now set to defy rules. Calvin then asked Reid if he would prefer to become predator or prey as he is facing off another prison inmate enemy in front of them. Yet, whether Reid chooses predator or prey would be found out in the upcoming episodes.

TV Fanatic also noted that amid cases for Reid’s teammate, they still have their focus on proving Reid’s innocence. JJ (A.J. Cook) is then shown in the “Criminal Minds” Episode 16 promo trailer in which he says that they would never let their suspect get away with his antics.

Mr. Scratch (Bodhi Elfman) is then speculated by the team to be responsible for framing the Boy Genius. Furthermore, Prison Guard Wilkins’ grudge toward Reid is also expected to be explained in the upcoming episodes of “Criminal Minds.”

But sadly, TV Guide reported that Reid’s prison stay would last until “Criminal Minds” Episodes 21 and 22 as a two-part finale. Showrunner and executive producer Erica Messer then added that Spencer Reid’s case will be heightened every week for fans.

Rest assured, fans could found out more as "Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 16 returns on Mar. 15 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. For more TV spoilers, visit us here at HNGN.
