Samsung, the Korean tech giant is working on the J-series budget smartphones. A new budget Smartphone Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) was spotted on US regulatory site of Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The handset is seen available in two variants with different model number- an unlocked version and a T-Mobile version.

As per the FCC which was first reported by The Android Soul, shows that the devices carrying model numbers SM-J327T and SM-J327U is the Galaxy J3 2017. The SM-J327T is reported to be for the T-Mobile carrier, as the model number has 'T' in it. The other model number SM-J327U is also reported to be the carrier-unlocked variant of J3 2017.

The report also mentions that the Seoul-based tech giant is planning to launch Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 via several carriers. It was earlier noted that the device popped up on WiFi Alliance bearing model numbers for Verizon and Sprint carriers. There are assumptions made that the Samsung will also launch the Galaxy J3 (2017) on AT&T prepaid and Cricket Wireless carriers, only under a different name as Galaxy Express Prime 2.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is reported to be equipped with a 5-inch (720 x 1280) resolution HD display. Under the hood, the device will be powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor featuring a quad-core 1.4GHz CPU, and the Adreno 308 GPU paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The handset will run on the Android 6.0 OS pre-installed in it. The device will sport a 5MP rear snapper and 2MP front shooter.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED (720 x 1280 pixels) display. Under the hood, the phone is equipped with Exynos 3475 Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7 processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB and 16GB internal storage options. The phone also sports an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera and a 2,600mAh removable battery.
