Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd, who recently became parents to a baby boy, would be back on the dance floor as competitors. The couple has announced their return on "Dancing with the Stars" Season 24 and it was on Tuesday's episode of "Good Morning America" that they revealed their plans.

"Dancing with the Stars" Season 24 will see the couple Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd competing on the dance floor, E! News claimed. The two have confirmed their return. While Peta is excited about coming back to the competition, she also admitted to feeling nervous. She said that she has missed the dance floor and has not been able to defend her title with Nyle DiMarco and thus, she wants to get back out there.

Talking about the post-pregnancy challenge, Peta Murgatroyd said that her focus is on staying healthy. She also added that it is going to take a little bit longer to get back up to the fitness that she had before but she feels that it is ok. The dancer made it clear that she will be taking it slowly.

As for Maks Chmerkovskiy, he said that he is not afraid of competing against Peta Murgatroyd because the last time they were together, he won the season. The 37-year-old-dancer also revealed his fascination with his new-born son Shai Aleksander, People reported. He said that it is a special time for him as well as Peta.

According to him, he always wanted to have kids but he never thought it would be like this. Expressing his love for the baby, he said that he cannot stop staring at him and also acknowledged the fact that the upcoming "Dancing with the Stars" Season 24 would keep him away from his son.

It is worth mentioning here that the names of celebrities participating in "Dancing with the Stars" Season 24 would be announced on March. 1 on "Good Morning America" while the show kick starts from March 20 on ABC.
