LG Watch Style has arrived with the Google's newest Android Watch OS update. The watch designed in collaboration Google holds Android Wear 2.0 OS and released into the tech market a few days back. A clear comparison is made with the Apple Watch Series 2.

Apple Watch Series 2 vs LG Watch Style

Size: The Apple Watch Series 2 is available in two sizes, 39 mm and 42 mm and width measuring to 33mm and 36mm respectively. Both variants have the same thickness which measures to 10.5mm.

On the other hand, the LG Watch Style is closer to the larger Apple Watch's dimensions measuring to 42mm X 46mm with round dial. The thickness of the watch is 10.8mm, a bit thick than Apple Watch Series 2.

Build: The entry level Apple Watches have aluminum builds with Ion-X glass and a  premium materials build offers stainless steel or ceramic builds with sapphire displays. Apple Watch Series 2 comes in gold, rose gold, silver and space gray colors. The options in bands include elastomer, nylon, leather and stainless steel.

The LG Watch Style has a stainless steel face with a plastic back and a Gorilla Glass 3 display. The color options include silver, titanium and rose gold colors. The LG Watch Style is offered with either leather or silicone bands.

Display: Apple Watch Series 2 has 326ppi displays and LG Watch style has round display accounting to 299ppi, which is lesser than Apple Watch Series 2. The Apple Watch Series 2 offers pressure-sensitive display which provides an additional way to interact which has the technology to differentiate between hard, long taps and shorter, lighter ones.  Comparatively, LG Watch Style doesn't have this feature. Also, both watches have a rotating crown/power button for navigation with a twist.

Processor: Apple Watch Series 2 is powered by Apple S2 chipset along with either 512GB or 1GB of RAM and the watch runs on Watch OS 3. On the other hand, LG's wearable comes with a 1.1GHz Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and runs on the newly released Android Wear 2.0 OS. Google's new OS release allows the user to have an on-watch version of the Google Play Store which does not require any intermediary device. This feature is not available for the Apple Watch Series 2. 

Other Features: Apple Watch Series 2 is a full water resistant watch up to 50m, the watch also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and is incorporated with Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, Heart-rate Sensors.

On the other hand, LG Watch Style has IP67 water resistance rating up to 1m for 30 minutes and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and no GPS. The device also has Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensors.

Price: Apple Watch Series 2 and the LG Watch Style has a starting price tag of $369 and $249 respectively.
