Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant might be planning to launch the successor of Redmi 4 Smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 has been spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA. The Redmi 5 Smartphone was spotted with few of the key specifications and features and along with image renders giving a complete idea on how the phone might look like.

The leaked Xiaomi devices on TENAA have the model numbers - MAE136 and MBE6A5. The leaked images indicate that the Redmi 5 (MAE136) sports a metal body, and a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back. The camera is placed on the top edge with the flash sitting beside it, while the Xiaomi Redmi 4 had the camera placed top center. Capacitive navigation buttons sit below the display at the front and the volume and power buttons sit on the right edge.

Also, it can be seen that the design of the Redmi 5 appears to be very similar to the Redmi 3s Prime But, the only difference that can be spotted is in terms of the bold antenna lines at the top and bottom of the rear panel- as per My Drivers

As per the TENAA listing, the MAE136 device sports a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz speed. The processor will be coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The phone storage has also an option of further expandable up to128GB via microSD card. The phone will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

Both the Xiaomi devices listed on TENNA with model numbers MAE136 and MBE6A5 is seen featuring 4,000 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera and  5MP front shooter. Xiaomi MAE136 is being assumed to be Redmi 5, while MBE6A5 could be higher variant of Redmi 5 smartphone

There are no official statements yet on the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Smartphone from the company. It can be noted that TENAA's certification confirms that handset will first hit the Chinese tech market.
