While some Motorola devices have already received an early Android Nougat update, latest news of other devices getting the update are also surfacing around the Internet.

The fourth-generation of Moto G phones that are the G4 series phones is said to be getting the Android 7.0 update before December 25.  The smartphone in this series will consist of the Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, and Moto G4 Play.

However, there are also some reports coming out saying that a small number of Moto G4 and G4 Plus owners in India have already received a Nougat update on their phones, as per Android Police. The NPJ25.93-11 update notification for the G4 is confirmed to be a final build, and not just a beta build.

The update rollout is also resulted in a bit of confusion, as the Android Nougat release notes for the G4 and G4 Plus have been posted to Motorola's Indian website for several months but actually there was no over-the-air update was seen.

Motorola seems to be rolling out the Nougat update in a very slow way. As a very few number of users in Brazil are getting the Android 7.0 update as well, reports mobilenapps.

Meanwhile, the Moto X Play is rumored to skip the 7.0 update and go directly to the latest Android Nougat 7.1. This is because the said device running the 7.1 update was spotted in GFXbench. It suggests that the update will come to the said device in the next few weeks.

Other Motorola devices like  the Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Style, Moto X Force, Droid Turbo 2, and Droid Maxx 2 are also likely to receive its own Nougat update soon, although with no official release dates just yet.

Stay tuned for more information about the Nougat updates for the Motorola devices.
