If you own Motorola device, then surely you will welcome the news that Moto Deutschland has confirmed that several smartphones of the company will get a taste of Android 7.0 Nougat this December.

On Dec. 6 Motorola's German operations took to its official Twitter page to affirm the dates of the Android 7.0 Nougat software update being rolled out to select devices from the company.

The tweet from Moto Deutschland shares that the much-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update will be there for Moto G and Moto Play before Christmas. The Moto Z Play will benefit from the update in January 2017, followed by the Moto X line up and Nexus 6.

Earlier in the month of October Motorola has confirmed via an official blog post saying 15 smartphones from the company will be updated to the new Google OS. It had also disclosed at the time that Android 7.0 Nougat would be rolled out in Q4 2016 with the Moto Z and the Moto G4 series being the first in line.

Now the next handsets to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update in the Moto Z series are the Moto Z Play and its Verizon-variant Moto Z Play Droid.

According to a report, the Moto Z series will benefit from the software update on Dec. 16. However, the Moto Z Play is slated to get the update in January in reference to on Moto Germany's tweet.

The Moto G4 series or the fourth gen Moto G phones are composed of the Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 Play, which are slated to get the Android 7.0 Nougat updated before Christmas this year. .

Lenovo claimed that the rest of its devices which includes the Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, Moto G Play (4thGen), Moto X Style, Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Force, Moto X Play, Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2, Moto Z, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid and Nexus 6 will acquire the 7.0 Nougat.

Other devices which are not confirmed to receive the update are  Moto X (2nd Gen), Moto X (3rd Gen), Moto E3, Moto E3 Power and Moto G3.

The Nexus 6 is also slated to get the software update in early 2017, alongside the Moto X lineup.
