NBA trade rumors start to swirl around the Orlando Magic as of late. Reports are saying that they are plunging into the trade market and willing to engage in trade deals once viable trade offers are available. And it seems that they found the Houston Rockets as the trade partner with Serge Ibaka as the centerpiece of the rumored deal.

The Magic, who is currently at the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference division, are struggling to find their rhythm and might continue to slide down the standings if no changes will be done. Earlier reports have revealed that Magic general manager Rob Hennigan have mentioned that he is putting some players on the trading block in able to acquire the needed scorer they are looking for.

On the other hand, the Rockets needs to toughen up their defense. After they lost Dwight Howard in free agency, their interior defense turns horrible feeling the absence of Howard's presence in the middle. But this could fix if they are willing to make a deal with the Magic.

According to Yibada English, both the Orlando Magic and the Houston Rockets could benefit if trade talks between them will start before the February trade deadline. The Magic are loaded with defensive stoppers which Houston badly needs while the Rockets are full of offensive players which Orlando are craving for.

NBA trade scenario is saying that Serge Ibaka will be heading to West and join former teammate James Harden in Houston Rockets. Meanwhile, the Magic can choose to either Trevor Ariza or Eric Gordon to welcome in their fold in exchange for Ibaka. Is the trade really helpful for both teams?

The Rockets will surely make use of Ibaka's potent defense which they are missing for quite some time in the early going of the season. Chemistry will also not be a problem as Ibaka and Harden are acclimatize to each other and could renew their glory days with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Whereas, the Magic will finally have an added firepower they are looking for either with Ariza (12.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists) or Gordon (17.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists). And since Ibaka will become a free agent after the season, it is feasible to trade now and get an asset in return.

Hoops Habit earlier reported that the Magic made a blunder of bringing in Ibaka last summer. The experiment backfires to them and it appears to be not what they expected early on. And it is plausible for them trade him while they can still get valuable players for the them.

Will this NBA trade rumor come into fruition? Is there a possibility that Serge Ibaka and James Harden join forces in Houston Rockets before the trade deadline?
