The Orlando Magic are making a big splash on the trade market as of late. Rumors are saying that they looking for a 'steady scorer' that could help them change the course of their standings in the Eastern Conference. And it seems like they are interested in acquiring Paul George from the Indiana Pacers to reunite with his former coach Frank Vogel.

Losing their last 3 games, the Magic are currently holding a 10-15 record and desperately wants to turn their fortunes around while the regular season is still early. Magic general manager Rob Hennigan earlier revealed that he is putting some players on the trading block to catch the needed scorer they are searching for.

As for George, he's been dragged in the rumor mills the past few months and it seems that rumors will still haunt him as the February trade deadline is approaching. Being a 3-time NBA All-Star, he's been a dependable scorer for the Pacers and deemed to lead the team. However, reports are saying that since he has the option to opt out of his contract after the season and not interested in signing an extension, he might be traded away by the Pacers if worse scenario comes.

And with that kind of situation, the Magic are said to be ready to make a move to acquire George. According to iSportsTimes, the Magic are willing to send a package of multiple players just to lure the Pacers to give up the 26-year old superstar.

Though it is not clear whom the Magic will offer, they can pick from players who will become a free agent on December 15 such as D.J. Augustin, Jeff Green, Bismack Biyombo, Arinze Onuaku and Damjan Rudez. They are also open to trading Nikola Vucevic, Serge Ibaka, and Elfrid Payton as per stated in the report.

On a separate report by Yibada English, the Magic are hard-pressed to make this deal work as they badly need an upgrade on their offense. Currently, they are ranked 29th in the NBA when it comes in offensive efficiency rate (94.8 points per 100 possessions).

There is no doubt that George can change their status and will immediately make a huge impact on the offensive end for the Magic. Chemistry and adjustment will also not be a problem as he is already familiar with coach Vogel system.
