The recently released 2016 Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar received some mixed reactions from users after it was released, with most critics actually praising it for its unique features and design. However, several consumers who actually bought the new laptop are apparently experiencing some issues with the device's battery life.

Those who didn't like the new MacBook Pro had several complaints about the device which ranged from its ridiculous port setup, the removal of the standard Magsafe connector, to its lack of an SD card slot. However, new reports are revealing that even die-hard fans are finding it hard to appreciate Apple's new offering, especially since they are not getting the battery life that was promised to them when the laptop was first introduced.

Several users who had experienced the battery issue immediately went into Apple's official support community forum, and other sites such as Reddit, to air out their complaints and share their experiences with the new 2016 MacBook. Some users have complained that they actually only got around 3 hours of useful battery life out of the laptop after it was fully charge. This figure is a stark contrast to the 10-hour battery life that was promised during the device's presentation.

Following the slew of complaints regarding the laptop's battery life, several tips and tricks to work around the entire issue immediately popped up online. The temporary fixes include resetting the laptop's NVRAM, resetting the Dock Preferences, and resetting the System Management Controller. Several reports have also chimed in with their different theories on the possible culprits for the alleged battery drain, with some claiming it to be either caused by the Touch Bar itself or an issue with the device's discrete Radeon graphics chip.  Apple has yet to release an official comment regarding the issue, which means that there still remains to be no permanent fix for those who are experiencing the battery drain problem.
