Amber Heard wrote an open letter in the December issue of Porter Magazine about domestic violence and woman empowerment. As the "Danish Girl" star discussed her personal experiences and the pains she had been through, some can't help but connect it with her former husband - Johnny Depp.

Although Heard didn't mention the name Depp in her note, TMZ reported that it is not far that she's talking about their marriage. This is especially when she wrote this strong statement: "I never felt anyone would or could rescue me, so naturally I resented the label of victim."

In a report made by Daily Mail, Heard continued the letter advising every woman that they are not alone when it comes to domestic violence. "You may have suffered alone behind closed doors, but you are not alone. You need to know that," she said.

Heard went on to say that there are several women who support their fellow victims of abuse. This, too, has helped her to stand for herself and break the door she was once into.

The "Justice League" actress even admitted that woman who tries to come out of the open and complain of domestic abuses that she has been through is often welcomed with "hostility, skepticism and shame." These are the things Heard wants to change in the world today.

Instead of a helping hand, the victim will be repeatedly asked, doubted and ignored. With that, Heard cleared that she was "raised to be independent and self-reliant," thus there's no way she will be dependent to anyone.

Meanwhile, it can be recalled that Heard did the same thing when she joined the PSA about domestic abuse. However, with these campaigns she has been doing, she might face another legal battle as part of her divorce settlement with Depp is not to talk anything about his strange husband.

It has been reported that Depp agreed to pay Heard with $6.8 million divorce settlement. The latter, on the other hand, announced that she is going to donate the money to her chosen charities. But, if it is proven that she violated their agreement, the deal will be forfeited.
