Six months after the highly-publicized filing of divorce from former husband, Johnny Depp, actress Amber Heard had decided to make a public service announcement which stressed on the abuse that women experience from their partners or husbands.

On a report from IBT UK, the video recorded by the actress, which was for the #GirlGraze project, mainly stated that women should speak up, take action and raise their voices against violence. Heard, who was emotional in the video, stated that every woman should not be afraid to speak for themselves if their partners or husbands are abusive to them.

She mentioned that this happened to a lot of women and added saying, "it is not easy especially when it happens in your home because you wouldn't have thought that someone you love might hurt you. If a stranger did this, as it was pointed out to me, if a stranger did this it would be a no-brainer".

It can be recalled that the 30-year old actress filed for divorce from Johnny Depp in May this year and obtained a temporary restraining order against the actor, days after her filing of divorce. A report from Toronto Sun suggests that the video was an indirect hit to Depp, who allegedly was abusive to Heard during their marriage.

It can also be recalled that the claims against the actor was dismissed by the court due to lack of evidence. This fueled to the rumor before that Heard was just using the actor for money. Despite this, the actress swore that she was telling the truth which probably is one of the factors why she made the video.

The Justice League actress also thanked the people who supported her throughout the divorce battle she had with her former husband. She said, "If I hadn't had a few people that I really trust around me, a few women support, a few friends. If I hadn't had them around me, how different my life would be."

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's divorce was settled on August 16, 2016, where the actress received a total of $7 million dollars for alimony and with the restraining order against her ex-husband dismissed.
