It has been reported by multiple sources recently that actor Brad Pitt was not granted of his request to secure court documents that consist files of his highly-publicized divorce and child custody with former wife, Angelina Jolie.

On Wednesday, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge, Richard Burdge Jr. had decided to reject the actor's request during an emergency hearing which the former couple did not attend. A court spokesperson from the said hearing had confirmed this news.

According to Irish Times, although Pitt's demands for sealing of the divorce files and the entire divorce process have been denied, Judge Burdge Jr. and the court reportedly considered to seal some specific documents involving children custody, especially because the former couple's kids are all minors.

It can be recalled that the Allied actor had filed a motion for the security of documents, saying that he is concerned that if the divorce and custody files were not sealed, the information that is contained on the documents might cause damage to their kids, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne, and their privacy rights as children.

However, on a report from Sky News, Jolie's lawyers allegedly doubt the actor's reason for requesting to seal the documents. As per the source, the actress' lawyers believe that Pitt is just trying to protect himself.

The attorneys referred Jolie's former husband's motion as "thinly veiled attempt to shield himself, rather than the minor children, from public view." Pitt's lawyers though, have refused to comment on the judge's rule after the hearing.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on September, where she cited irreconcilable differences and accused her former husband of physically and verbally abusing their eldest son, Maddox. The actor was subsequently cleared of the allegations but Jolie still held temporary physical custody of their six children.
