The occult detective police procedural drama series, Grimm, by the NBC network, is almost returning on televisions and fans are more than excited to know what's next for their beloved characters.

It was since May this year that the viewers had not seen the a single episode of the series but this time, there are only a few days left until the sixth season premieres. Following this, speculations about the show's possible plot and revelations are rapidly surfacing online.

It has been reported that the upcoming season will feature more exciting episodes that could surely make the fans anticipate more of the show. According to Mstar News, the plot of season 6 would include a face off between the eponymous Grimm, Nicholas 'Nick' Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and royal bastard, Captain Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz).

The source claimed that on an episode of the new and upcoming season, Nick will be turning into Renard's doppelganger because of a potion that he will encounter by chance. This will reportedly start the fight between the to characters.

It has also been speculated that Nick and Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee) will not be ending up together. As per the aforementioned source, he will apparently find his way back to Juliette Silverton (Bitsie Tulloch), Nick's original love interest in the series.

Moreover, reports claim that there will be a lot of questions from the fifth season that will definitely find solutions and answers on the sixth season. NBC has previously announced that the season will contain less episodes compared to the other previous seasons, from 22 episodes down to 13.

The network has been firm on their decision to cut short the episodes disregarding the petition filed by the fans and followers of the series who want more episodes to air.

Meanwhile, News Everyday reported that the showrunners of Grimm had hinted on a possible spin-off after all the episodes of the upcoming season will finish airing on televisions. As per the source, the spin-off series will likely focus on the Wessen couple and their hybrid child.

Grimm Season 6 will premiere on January 6, 2017 on NBC.
