It seems like battery issues with Samsung devices won't be going away anytime soon. After the battery explosion disaster customers faced with their brand new Samsung Note 7, Note 8 and Galaxy S8 is facing delay in release because of Samsung' battery provider, SDI.

Digital Trends stated that SDI is in the process of reviving the goodwill of the company following the Note 7 battery disaster. They have assured that its batteries are safe to use now.

A SDI source who was present during the development of Note 7's battery stated, "Since the first recall, we've had many inquiries from our clients, including Apple, asking whether batteries used in their products are safe."

SDI is a major in-house supplier for renowned brands including Samsung and Apple. The customers of SDI are now skeptical about the batteries health and are hesitant to invest anymore with the supplier.

Samsung has even discontinued using SDI batteries in their Note 7. The issue with SDI and resolving said problems is causing Samsung to delay the much anticipated release of Note 8 and Galaxy S8.

Digital Trends further stated that since the Note 7 issue, SDI has lost around a fifth of its market value. Also, the source in SDI suggested that the company were second guessing themselves while they were developing the Note 7 batteries.

"We are also asking ourselves whether we should have done it (the Note 7 battery) this way, or whether there could have been other ways," said the source.

As per IBTimes, Samsung was expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 later on 26 February 2017, on the eve of Mobile World Congress, which takes place from 27 February to 2 March 2017.

Expected Price of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is $555.56 approx and Galaxy S8 is speculated to be priced around $850.00.
