OnePlus giant recently brought the upgraded version of OnePlus 3 smartphone, the OnePlus 3T. Now, enthusiasts wait for the new announcement from OnePlus.

OnePlus is expected to come with new flagship OnePlus 4 in the coming year. OnePlus 3 was released in June 2016 and five months after, the upgraded version OnePlus 3T was released. Based on these speculations, OnePlus 4 smartphone is likely to arrive in the second quarter of 2017.

According to Christian Today, a leak from Weibo  indicated that the OnePlus 4 will hit the market by June or July of 2017. As mentioned in the report, during an AMA Reddit session, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei was asked some questions about the newly released OnePlus 3T and the company's future projects specifically the OnePlus 4 Smartphone.

Carl Pei answered the question when asked if the 3T's release will affect the numbering scheme making OnePlus 5 the next release instead of OnePlus 4. Pei said this is "not a bad idea actually, maybe."

When asked whether or not there will be T-branded OnePlus devices, Pei said, "Honestly I don't know, we'll have to see how this one goes. It's too early to tell."

Whether or not this will be the case for the OnePlus 4 remains to be seen, although Pei explicitly pointed out that they have "no plans right now" as far as the OnePlus 3T is concerned.

"VR with a phone strapped to your head is cute but not really useful in the near term. Ask people who've used other mobile VR products," he explained.

Based on the answer given by Pei, "It's too hard to fit a big enough battery into a [5-inch] device," it can be speculated that the OnePlus 4 will be made up of more than 5-inches.

OnePlus 4 is currently rumored to be made with aluminum curved body with a 5.5 inch diagonal screen with an Optic AMOLED display with 4k resolution, QUALCOMM snapdragon processor with a RAM of 8 GB and 32 GB of internal storage expandable up to 256 Gigabytes.

One Plus 4 is rumored to have 21MP or 23MP rear camera with Sony sensor integration and rumored to have 8MP front camera for selfie craze.
