Apple iPad Mini 5 release date has been shifted to March 2017. The device could now be released at Apple's technical event, which is going to be held in March 2017. Tech enthusiasts are of the opinion that Apple would be following the same pattern as to previous releases of the iPad Mini. Therefore an early 2017 release seems like a high possibility.

According to the TechAdvisor UK, iPad Mini 5 could also be called the iPad Pro Mini. Based on the iPad Mini 4 pricing, it can be assumed that the 32GB Apple iPad Mini 5 could cost £379  for the Wi-Fi only model, £499 for the 32GB Wi-Fi + 4G model, £469 for the 128GB Wi-Fi only model and £589 for the 128GB Wi-Fi + 4G version.

The awaited device from Apple is rumored to come out as thin as 5mm encased in a 7000-series aluminium chassis that may come with the feature of dust-resistant and water-resistant.

There has been a price hike in all Apple products, so a further price rise is expected in the 2017. A 64GB variant is also supposed to be included. The Apple iPad Mini 5 is expected to be more durable than its predecessor as it could feature the 7.9-inch Retina Display.

Some of the possible features we can expect in the iPad Mini 5 are 3D Touch, Apple Pencil, IP68 Protection and iOS 10. The device may be equipped with an A9 or M9 processor and 3GB RAM.

The Apple iPad Mini 5 will be using a smaller capacity battery but the highly-improved technology that will not affect the device's performance negatively. Device may have 8MP primary camera and 1.2MP front camera, lightning port and NFC.

According to MacWorld, the release of the iPhone 7, there might be a removal of the headphone jack on iPads too and while the iPad mini 4 is already wonderfully slim and light, so the mini 5 could be even slimmer, or perhaps squeeze in a little more battery capacity.
