The iPad Air is one of Apple's most popular lines. Company has claimed to sell over 200 million tablets in the Air's 9.7in form factor. Apple fans are desperately waiting for a successor of the iPad Air 2 since its launch in 2014.

iPad's latest flagship Air 3 will be much thinner than the iPad Air 2, which is just 6.1mm thick itself. There are different colour variants for the upcoming device that are original Gray, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold as per PC Advisor.

The new model for iPad will include a Smart Connector on the side for magnetically connecting to accessories like a keyboard, quad stereo speakers.

An advanced four-channel ambient light sensors will give an automatic adaptation of the display's colour and intensity to match the light in the surrounding environment to the latest device.

The latest device will feature an improved 12-megapixel camera with True Tone flash and a new four-array microphone setup. Its front camera will be a 7 MP FaceTime HD.

The most popular speculated feature of this device is the addition of Smart connector for Smart keyboard. Apple Pencil compatibility in iPad Air 3 is also expected to be pre installed.

The iPad Mini may also equipped without a 3.5mm headphone jack for that wireless audio experience. Recently iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus has this feature.

For the price of the high end product, Apple right now needs a new tablet to sit in the £300-£400 price range. The iPad Air 3 will give a cheaper option to customers in  9.7in iPad Pro range (which starts at £499) and will be offering a more reasonably priced upgrade for those who are using the iPad Air 2, or an older 9.7in iPad, reports PCAdvisor.

Apple still did not confirmed anything about whether or not they will be adding this iPad Air 3 to its iPad Air portfolio in the future

Christian Today reports that the Apple iPad Air 3 has missed the spotlight during this year's WWDC event and the September event. Despite this also the iPad Air 3 is still rumoured to be on social media. Right now, it is reportedly to launch in March 2017 in the next Apple WWDC event.
