The Nets franchise in the NBA was founded in 1967. It had moved to New York, New Jersey and now to Brooklyn. Since the franchise move to Brooklyn in 2012, the Brooklyn Nets reached the playoffs on their first three seasons. But last season, they didn't reach the playoffs for the first time in the Brooklyn Era.

Now at 5-12 win-loss record, they are 14th in the Eastern Conference. They lost seven of their last eight games. But the game that they won in the last eight games was against the Los Angeles Clippers, one of the best teams in the NBA this season.

Jeremy Lin is the Nets' new acquisition but didn't play much because of an injury. And in Lin's absence, it was Brook Lopez and Sean Kilpatrick. Lopez is averaging a team-high 20.3 points to go along with 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 blocks. Kilpatrick on the other hand, is having a breakout year averaging 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

With their current position, the Nets will probably not make the playoffs again this year. Will the Nets consider trading their starting center Brook Lopez to Portland Trailblazers? Becae according to YIBADA, the Blazers are interested in acquiring the veteran center. And in exchange, the Blazers could send Allen Crabbe to the Nets.

At 9-10 win-loss record, the Blazers are tied with Los Angeles Lakers for the 8th spot in the Western Conference, as per ESPN. The Blazers reached last season's playoffs and even went to West Semifinals. Because of that, expectations were high for the Blazers this season.

A quality big man is what the Blazers lack. They have Festus Ezeli, Mason Plumlee and Meyers Leonard. But Plumlee and Leonard are not playing well this season and newly-acquired Ezeli were sidelined because of injury.

If this NBa trade rumor will happen, Blazers will probably rise up to the top 5 teams in the West. Lopez is a very good low post guy. He can also defend and get rebounds. He will also play alongside Lillard and McCollum which might get him more open looks inside the rim.

Will Brook Lopez be heading to Portland Trailblazers? Stay tuned for more NBA trade rumors and updates.
