DeMarcus Cousins has been involved in a lot of NBa trade rumor talks since the offseason. And a rumor says that the Portland Trailblazers are interested to acquire him.

The Portland Trailblazers have reached the playoffs in the past three seasons. They were the fifth seed in the Western Conference last season heading into the playoffs with a record of 44-38.

They shockingly defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round in six games. And although they were eliminated by the Golden State Warriors in the second round, expectations were high for the Blazers before this season.

But the Blazers are struggling a little bit early this season. At 9-10 win-loss record, they are tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for 8th spot in the competitive Western Conference. They lost three of their last four games with the latest defeat came into the hands of the Houston Rockets in a high-scoring game of 130-114.

The backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and 2016 Most Improved Player C.J. McCollum are having a dazzling season as expected. Lillard led the Blazers in scoring averaging 28.2 points on 46.3% shooting from the field and 89.6% shooting from the free-throw line. C.J. McCollum, on the other hand, is averaging 22.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 34.6 minutes.

The backcourt duo of Lillard and McCollum are one of the best in the NBA. But with the Blazers early struggle, adding another superstar might make a big difference

According to YIBADA, the Portland Trailblazers might be interested in acquiring NBA superstar DeMarcus Cousins because they have the pieces to assemble a package for this deal to happen.

And from a financial standpoint, the Blazers could trade Allen Crabbe to get Cousins. Crabbe has a salary of $18.5 million this season while Cousins has a salary of $16.9 million, as per Spotrac.

If this rumored NBA trade deal will push through, the Blazers could be one of the best teams in the NBA. Cousins is clearly the best center in the NBA now. And if Cousins will play alongside formidable backcourt duo of Lillard and McCollum, they will probably match the NBA superteam Warriors in terms of offensive firepower.

One of the Blazers problems is a lack of quality big man. They have Mason Plumlee, Meyers Leonard and Festus Ezeli. But Ezeli is still injured and both Plumlee and Leonard have a subpar season.

Cousins is averaging a double-double this season with 28.7 points and 10.4 rebounds in 34.1 minutes. He is a beast from the low post. And having him in the paint is way much better than any other big men in the Blazers' lineup. Cousins will also benefit if he plays for the Blazers because he will have higher chance to contend for an NBA championship.

Will DeMarcus Cousins play alongside Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum in Portland Trailblazers? Fans will find out soon from the latest NBA trade rumors, happenings and updates.
