Several "Star Wars Episode 8" spoilers have surfaced on the internet in the recent past. While a majority of them focus on Luke Skywalker, Rey and Kylo Ren connection, the recent one claims to have figured out Rey's origin.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" introduced space scavenger Rey for the first time on deserted planet Jakku. While her origin was not described at all in the previous installment, "Star Wars Episode 8" may reveal that Rey has a royal connection, according to International Business Times.

The publication based its report on a story posted by a Reddit user named The_Playboy. According to the user, Rey could be deeply connected to a royal family and this connection may have something to do with the era when the royals ruled a number of planets.

However, the royal families were killed by the First Order, upon the rising of the First Galactic Umpire under the guidance of Supreme Chancelor Palpatine. The royal families started to disappear quickly, and Rey's family was one of them.

The Reddit user further explains that The First Order may have invaded the planet on which Rey and her family lived. Her family may have been killed, however, some royal guards may have escaped along with Rey.

Young Rey escaped safely with the guard, who dropped her off on planet Jakku. This royal guards could have performed this move for the safety of young Rey.

According to the publication, a part of the "Star Wars Episode 8" script leaked previously suggested that a former Jedi master picked up Rey to save her from the Empire. For her safety, the young Rey was dropped off on deserted planet Jakku.

No matter which theory is correct, one thing is for sure - the story behind Rey's true parentage is expected to be unveiled in "Star Wars Episode 8." May be it is Luke Skywalker who will tell Rey everything about her past, her parents and the planet to which she belongs.
