The recent "Star Wars Episode 8" spoilers suggest that this may be the last movie in which Luke Skywalker may appear as Jedi. His character may end with the climax of the movie and Rey is expected to take his role going forward.

In "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," Luke Skywalker appeared during the climax. He was shown wearing the Jedi robe and a robotic hand. Rey climbs up a cliff to finally reach up to Luke Skywalker to hand him his lightsaber, and this is where the movie ends.

This is the reason why "Star Wars 8" is expected to focus primarily on Luke Skywalker and Rey, in addition to the villain Kylo Ren. According to Jobs & Hire, Luke Skywalker may ask Rey during training to not to kill Kylo Ren, but to persuade him to come to the light side of the Force as before.

The publication reports that Rey will undergo serious training sessions imparted by Luke Skywalker. The training would last over a period of months before Rey becomes fully powerful to handle villains from the dark side of the force, primarily, Kylo Ren.

However, the training aspect will not form a major chunk of the plot. "Star Wars 8" is also expected to focus on how the galactic rebellion is constantly looking for Rey and their attempt to kill her.

It is also rumored that "Star Wars 8" may be the last movie in which Luke Skywalker's character would appear. This indicates that his character may die in the movie, however, Rey would transform from a Padawan into a Jedi until that happens.

Meanwhile, Morning Ledger reports that Rey will get frustrated during the training, just like how Luke Skywalker became impatient during his training from Master Yoda. But still, Rey will finally learn to use the lightsaber and gain other skills to achieve Jedi knighthood.
