One of the "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story" trailer showed an unknown cloaked figure entering a dark chamber. While "Star Wars" fans had a hard time identifying the figure, it is now rumored that the secret is finally out.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

In the trailer, fans can easily see a mysterious character approaching a Bacta tank used for healing. The unknown character is guarded by two soldiers in red gown and the soldiers are believed to be the Emperor's Royal Guards, International Business Times reports.

According to a YouTube user named Mike Zeroh, there are two possibilities of who this character could actually be. One possibility is that the cloaked figure is Sith Lord Darth Maul, who was cut into half during the prequel "Star Wars" trilogy.

Darth Maul is one of the favorite character of "Star Wars" series fans. Given the huge popularity, Darth Maul's character was made to return back in comics as well. So, there is a possibility that he may return as a mysterious character in "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story."

In case Darth Maul is making a return in "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story," his character will be brief. However, it will establish a ground for a Darth Maul spin off to be created in the future.

The second possibility is that the cloaked character is Jyn Erso, a character played by "A Theory of Everything" actress Felicity Jones. Jyn Erso may have disguised herself as the Emperor to grab an opportunity to kill Darth Vader, while he is present at the Bacta Tank.

The YouTuve video uploaded by Zeroh further indicated that this crucial scene may be placed at the very end of "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story." While possibility is that it could by Jyn Erso trying to bring down the Empire by killing Darth Vader, there are greater chances that it could be Darth Maul giving a small, special appearance.
