AMC and Fox's horror zombie apocalypse drama series, The Walking Dead, had just finished airing its fifth episode for the seventh season on Sunday. Episode 6 is almost happening and fans of the series can't help but get excited for the next possible events that are going to occur.

It can be recalled in the previous episode that Rick and Aaron, (Rick Grimes and Ross Marquand) find supplies for the visit of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character, Negan, while Carl, portrayed by Chandler Riggs, went with Enid (Katelyn Nacon) to the Hilltop, where Gregory (Xander Berkeley) got mad at them for not keeping their promise of killing the Saviors, and sends them away.

Later, after having finished helping with each other to defend the community after a walker attack, Paul 'Jesus' Rovia (Tom Payne) convinces Gregory to let Carl and Enid stay. At the near-ending part of the episode, Hilltop's supplies have been taken by the Saviors and Sasha (Sonequa Martin) found Carl hiding on one of the Savior's vehicle.

Because of these events, Chandler Riggs, who portrays Carl, has been speculated to be in danger, according to a report from Last Night On. It can be seen in episode 5 that Carl and Jesus, who were both at the truck, were headed to Negan's compound. As the previous episodes indicate, mostly bad things have happened in the compound.

Moreover, it was also reported that Riggs will soon be departing the show for his college education. He recently announced on his official social media account that he has been accepted to Auburn University, which would mean that he might leave the show for good and focus on his academic career.

This may be a good news for the actor but fans are worried that the show is going to kill off his character, by then the series will not be the same as it was before. But it is not really known what would be the effect of Riggs' possible departure from the show. The studio has not really said anything about this.

According to IBT UK, If they are going to kill off his character, this might slighly effect the series' ratings. It had been reported that for the month of October, the zombie apocalypse series' ratings had dropped from 17 million viewers to just 11 million.

It had been suspected that the brutal death of some major characters had vowed some fans to quit watching the series. However, Greg Nicotero, producer of the series, had stated that this is just a strategy which a majority of drama series had been doing, and he does not believe that this affected the rate of public viewing.

The Walking Dead Season 7 episode 6 airs on November 27, 2016 on Fox.
