The Green Lantern might be included in the Justice League movie after all. The power ring-wielding superhero will now likely be included in the upcoming DC film that would feature other iconic superheroes like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, and The Flash.

No confirmations just yet

Although no confirmation was issued from Warner Bros just yet, multiple reports claimed that a "member of the Green Lantern Corps will be seen in Justice League in a key scene." If proven true, it doesn't necessarily mean that this Green Lantern Corps affiliate will be among the most notable ring-bearers like Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner or Jessica Cruz

Green Lantern in the Justice League?

As the universe's known police force, Green Lanterns represent different intergalactic areas. One of those could, theoretically, be in danger with the alien general Steppenwolf, a.k.a. Justice League's Big Bad. Earlier this year, Warner Bros production president Greg Silverman gave some hints that the Green Lantern origin would most likely be a sub-story in Justice League 2 and then in an upcoming solo movie based around the larger Green Lantern Corps.

According to Greg Silverman

"Green Lantern is an incredible character. The iconic name is actually multiple incredible characters," Silverman teased.

"There's some real opportunity there. We are fully aware that the first Green Lantern movie didn't go so well. This is a character who deserves to be treated in just as the same way Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are being treated now, which is with great reverence. Here's what I can say to the Green Lantern fans: if they can be patient with us, they'll definitely be really happy."

Justice League is going to be epic

Ryan Reynolds famously played the Hal Jordan version of Green Lantern in a disappointing box office bomb back in 2011. The film failed to connect to the current DC Film Universe. In Justice League, Supermen, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash will be joining forces to defend Earth from invading Apokolips forces led by General Steppenwolf. Justice League will hit cinemas on Nov. 17, 2017.
