There was one speeding UFO that has been sent to NASA, and has experts flummoxed. The fast UFO was filmed by a US Air Force veteran in Ayden, North Carolina. The capture was made with a camera mounted on a drone.

The clip was sent to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) to come up with some answers. MUFON is the world's biggest body that is totally involved in UFO and alien research.

As HNGN has reported, this has been a year of strange UFO sightings. There are plans of declaring the secrets of aliens to the world soon.

The 59-year-old veteran, who has 20 years of USAF service behind him, explained that the object sped for about 1.2 miles in just one-third of a second. Hence, it travelled at about 13,000 mph per hour or 17 times the speed of sound. The mysterious object was captured on camera, flying at only 50 feet off the ground at a speed of 10,000-13,000 mph.

He videotaped the UFO at 2.12 pm on October 26. He wrote: "This UFO video was captured with my DJI Phantom 3 Professional 4K aerial camera. I filed a UFO report with MUFON and they notified NASA and sent them a copy of the video."

He also said: "I thought I had seen it all. This footage took me back. I was flying my aerial camera from Ayden District Park. The skies were clear with unlimited visibility."

He observed the object only when he revisited his tape. "I did not witness this object first hand; it wasn't until I reviewed the 4K footage on my 4K TV that I first spotted the object on video."

In the video he found that the UFO passed in a rather blurred instant under the witness' drone.

He added: "I shoot in 4K/30fps and you can view this object in 10 frames as it flies towards and passes under my drone. During these 10 frames of viewing, this object travels three-quarter to one mile in one-third of a second - about 10,000 mph."

It seemed to be a solid metallic object, reflecting or giving off its own light.

A North Carolina examiner, Sanford Davis, explained in a report: "It was observed as the witness was reviewing aerial drone footage. The whole sighting occurs within a third of a second - a streak arising in the background, streaking across the screen before disappearing in the foreground. It appears as a white dot, flattening out somewhat into a 'light disk' right before it disappears off screen."

However, no conclusion has been arrived at so far.

Could it have been another drone under the witness', or just something zooming overhead?

It might even have been a flare or some technical glitch, perhaps.

Comments followed with one sceptic pointing out: "Don't need NASA or MUFON to realise it's just a bug."

"Congrats you caught a bug! Idiot," another commentator said.

Yet another said it might be a hummingbird.
