The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder are two proud teams in the league today. Both teams have been in the playoffs for the past few seasons and expected to be in the postseason again this year. But recent development on NBA trade shows that both teams are considering a trade deal between them.

For one, the Thunder is currently in a slump right now having lost four consecutive games and seems missing the services of Kevin Durant who left them and decide to join the Warriors during the offseason. And now, they are looking for caliber player to replace him in the team.

On the other hand, the Warriors are recovering from recent disappointments and racking up four straight wins. However, the team is rumored to be placing Klay Thompson on the trading block due to his recent slump. And the reason to his dropping performance is pointing to one person no other than, Kevin Durant.

And the connection between the two teams might lead to the trading table. According to NBA Trade Rumors machine, a possible trade deal is in the works between the Warriors and the Thunder and it could happen anytime soon. Trade scenario is suggesting that Golden State will send Klay Thompson and Zaza Pachulia to OKC in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Steven Adams.

Though some are saying that this trade is interestingly good but others are saying that is only a one-sided deal as the Thunder will get the better end of this trade. Having Thompson on their fold will give the Thunder the perfect replacement for Durant and could be a contender once more. And the tandem with Russell Westbrook might create a new version of "Splash Bros." in OKC.

As for the Warriors, Thompson will be a big loss to the team if ever he'll be traded but still having Stephen Curry and Durant taking care the whole team would easily ease his departure. Aside from that, acquiring Adams will give them an upgrade at the center position while Oladipo will be a perfect backup for Curry in the process.

However, one roadblock is stopping this trade to happen and that is the salary of the players involved. As per checking to ESPN NBA Trade Machine, both teams will be having a hard time absorbing the salaries of the incoming players. Both teams will be over the salary cap threshold and NBA league official will not approve the trade.

Though it is exciting to see how Klay Thompson will perform to Durant's former team but checking its validity through the eyes of league office makes it "busted" for them. One day, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors might revisit this rumored NBA trade deal and who knows the availability and salary might be acceptable by that time.
